Another triumph for eBay. Bombard them with wiki's press releases, everything you can on the early days of the PSP until the drop you a huge apology.
Ebay's become a law of it's own, it's the same when you sell an 360 and state what drive model it has - they know your touting the unit to people, letting them know they can mod it easily. Strangely enough though i've have no trouble selling backup units recently??? go figure.
That sucks. Still, I'm sure if you explain to them nicely that you were merely stating that it was an older console, as indicated by the fact it was sold with the version 1.5 official Sony firmware, which has now been superseded, and that the console is entirely as it was when it left Sony's factory, they should reinstate your account. If not, go to the BBB.
I doubt it. The only auction that I have ever had pulled was a PSP that I mentioned had the original 1.0 firmware. Nothing else, but they pulled it as "encouraging copyright infringement and piracy". And don't bother with the BBB as they serve no real purpose and ebay makes up their own rules.
Consider it a blessing in disguise. I *wish* I had my ebay account banned. Maybe I should try selling a cadaver or heroin or something...
 lol..just as hilarious as it gets:lol: btw. load an acctual game on it and the FW will be changed and ready for teh LEGAL sell!!
I wished every disgruntled eBay account holder would group together en masse and sell a plastic eBay turd. What a glorious day it would be to see thousands of these things on auction and them having to pull them all, explain the significance and the beauty of it is that there are no rules for selling fake shit, just fake goods! I have every faith in eBay's current management team that before too long they'll have no original account holders left.
I don't think they can stop you from selling novelty joke items. Search for fake turd, fake poo, fake poop... you'll see several on eBay. What would be better is if someone set up a dutch auction with thousands of fake turds, to sell to disgruntled eBay members, who then sent them all in to the management on a set day! Then, eBay would LITERALLY be full of (fake) shit! Anyone fancy participating in Turdy Thursday? ;-)
Meh, no shock to me. They once pulled down an auction of mine because it included freeloader (it was for a gamecube and a few games).
I've had to use the model numbers for dev items, only. I then put the description on the picture, it's the only way with ebay. What I hate more is the double dip: commission, then paypal fees.
