So Steam is allowing people to charge for user-created mods... rant or priase away...

    Most of all this boils down to: Where do you draw the line between a mod extensive enough to charge for, or not?

    I do not have any problem with people charging with mods......

    .... However the politics when it happens will be enormous..... For example :

    - If someone creates a mod thats for sale..... And someone creates a similar one but for free (For example bugfix mods), does this constitute copyright infringement?
    - If someone posts a mod that is reliant on another mod...... For example a mod of a total conversion mod.

    A lot of these "problems" are sidestepped when it is free, when money is involved, things get dicey quick.
