they're normally awful if done for purely commercial reasons, but sometimes if done by a talented artist its interesting and good to get another take on a classic, eg the (bbc)radio 1 live lounge stuff.

 

Mainstream music around 05' was great now it has gone shit. The other day i was in my buddys car and the radio was on and in my head i thought... wtf is this shit?, but im generally a metal person so its hard for me to fairly judge. IMO from what i see in todays Mainstream Music, TV, Mainstream influenced people, etc, It has made me want to take a nice dose of cyanide.
