WHY is there a campaign to end bullying anyway? Are we too scared to teach kids to ACTUALLY STICK UP FOR THEMSELVES AND OTHERS? I guess the PC Police want us all to be pussies.

 

How about we just equally apply the law to those little bullying punks and throw their asses in jail where they belong (and will most likely end up anyway)?

 

i may sound callous but if someone is weak enough to resort to suicide rather then dealing with life or a bit of stick then let them, their choice.

Is this a viral campaign or something? I really don't see what's so special about this one person that deserves all of this attention over any other case. People commit suicide every day, yes it's a sad fact of life but surely there have been enough warning signs by now that young people are vulnerable to this sort of thing. This girl could have easilly told the police and her young stalker would have ended up in trouble for posessing indecent images of a minor, as well as other sexual charges. I just really don't know what to make of it all or what to feel.

Yeah it's a viral campaign. A poorly done one if you think about her story there are enough holes in it to make swiss cheese. Plus she's "canadain" so that makes it even more fish, "her" You Tube account has videos on it as recently as a few days ago.

Something doesn't add up enough for her story to be real.

These days school administrators will suspend both parties just to avoid having to figure out what is actually going on and deal with the problem. What I don't understand is why if one kid comes in bloodied and you find the accused bully with bloody knuckles why they seem to ignore him and let him get away with the crime. I can understand (just barely) the "don't hit back because we can't be sure who swung first" bullshit but I'll never understand why a one sided fight never gets punished.

 

Sounds good in theory until it gets politicized like that Tyler Clementi case.

 

She killed herself cause she always posted nude images of herself? Umm, that's a bit stupid first of all, that'd take a lot of guts to do and wouldn't she have the emotions to ignore what people say? I heard all through facebook this was fake anyway.

For fucks sake though, I was in highschool, I was beaten up and hospitalised 2 times maybe 3... Called all sorts of names, spat on, kicked, punched, hair pulled, objects thrown at me. Sure I get depressed here and there, but I'd never kill myself over it. I know everyone is different, but these types of "Like for support" is annoying...

 

Exactly. This is the best argument when talking about these over the top "bullying" stories. I really don't understand it, these kids need conflict at a younger age in order to know how to deal with it when they are older, where it will definitely come into play. As everyone knows, life isn't fair, and the problems/conflicts pile on a lot quicker when school is said and done. Raise your kids to challenge authority, to question things, and be skeptical. Don't raise them to think everything is smooth sailing and that they should always submit when the going gets slightly rough.

Give them the tools/experience to fight back before its too late!!!
See what happens if you don't? Kids suicide/contemplate suicide for miniscule, pathetic, and slightly offensive reasons. The kind of stuff any person with any sense of self dignity or knowledge of how society really functions would brush off minutes after it happened to them.

As for people who suicide, I see them as weak and lose all respect that I had/could have had for them. Especially if it was over name calling or some other small annoyance, if they really think that is too hard for them to live with then Id rather they off themselves. Sounds horrible, but what they are doing is horrible/unreasonable and is literally a pussy way out of a situation that you might not like/be comfortable with at the time. Well big fucking deal. Either confront it, ignore it, or kill yourself! For someone like me, I only see the first 2 options. I guess that 3rd one is getting more popular every year! :very_drunk:

 

Bullying is a fact of life whether it is from a clique at school, the passive-aggressive crap at work or the gorilla across the bar that wants to smash your face cause his girl made eye contact with you. Learn to defend yourself or grow some thick skin.

 

Guys, the girl to the left actually did commit suicide(cause if she didn't, then why do I hear police doing an investigation). Bullying is wrong guys, and I should know 'cause I was trash talked behind my back and called a retard just 'cause I have asbergers(which is an extremely mild form of autism) and just 'cause I have it, doesn't make me stupid 'cause I'm actually pretty intellegent. I mean, come on, I absolutely hate it when people judge others based on stereotypes(Thats right. I'm talking about YOU, Seth McFarlend).

 

Newsflash: if people can make up a story about a girl committing suicide they surely can make up a story about a police investigation to go along with the first bullshit story.

Not saying its bullshit but I don't see any links to reputable sources here either.
