Has anyone seen any previews or anything related to resident evil 4? If so what did you think of the game? I've been a resident fan since the first one came out....can't wait to play it.
I think it is Visually good....but I don't like all teh new changes. It doesn't look like it will play like a Biohazard game I am looking forward to playing as Leon again....but thats about all of it I am looking forward to. Biohazard Outbreak - File 2 Is the only Biohazard game I'm looking forward to this year.
resident evil 4 I've seen a preview of it in game informer and i was pretty disappionted to see that there will be no zombies in it...instead they were replaced by villagers in some sort of trance or something...i think resident evil isn't resident evil without the zombies, hunters and those ugly dogs...know what i mean? there's even some hooded mask man with a chainsaw running towards you...wasn't he in house of the dead?? but visually it's looking good though.
It could be a marked improvement for the series, it has become a "bit" stale lately. The original concept for RE4 (smoke ghost zombies you cant kill and in a mansion/ice station thing) looked kinda crap.
I agree with that too ^_^ But even then, only the story has changed since that version...it still uses the same engine with the new camera/controls/gameplay. If Outbreak 2 has alot more scenarios than Outbreak 1....then That'll be exactly what I'm looking for in the next Resident Evil game ^_^ Biohazard 4 may be visually awesome....but looks like it plays like alot of other boring games.
I'm looking forward to it very much.Being a Biohazard fan I can totally understand the hardcore being a bit cautious of the changes but to be honest, what would be the point of yet another update that doesn't change the basic mechanics of the game play. You might as well play zero or resident evil 2 over and over.I think Capcom have made a brave decision and I think the game is looking fantastic.I'm looking forward to getting back to some genuine scares in the series.
I think it's the classic gameplay mechanics that made the series so good ^_^ And I do play Resident Evil 2 over and over still...its a great game. I want the story finished though....but I want it with the style i'm used to and not this new one (from impressions ^_^ For all I know, when I actually play it I could love it).
zombie films are limited in ideas. Never changing premise: Escape from the undead or die. The only thing that can change is the gameplay. Failure of the series can onlybe attributed to lackluster gameplay. Tomb Raider suffered similarly. The change to multiplayer will give some new life to the series, but it cannot be counted on for success. They need to: 1.) Change the gameplay engine Currently: clumsy, outdated. 2.) Enhance the experience with completely new ideas. EX: Space. Zero gravity zombies. KEvin
I'm with Assembler on this one. The older games lost a lot of appeal for me due to their clunky control system.
