Wall of text. Paragraphs please edit: some punctuation wouldnt go amiss either, it's a very difficult to read post.
Working Progress i will be adding pictures soon but i would really appreciate some comments on how you know and spot a first edition megadrive ;-) you will kick youself for not knowing this one
thanks for all your comments thus far  but you are all a little off, it has nothing to do with the text "AV Intelligent Terminal High Grade Multipurpose Use" as all genuine japanese megadrives should have that text < > understand your not wrong with your assumption but theres a better way ;-) And as a side note - - The genuine Asian hong kong version removed the text completely, and the top case halo was modelled on the uk version, instead of a solid hoop or halo which you would find if you snapped the polished circle plastic from your true jap machine or Genesis Core. the asian version is a C shape with a solid red plastic surround around the power light it is kind of a shame the japanese surround is only a red transfer besides it doesn't take any expert to ask when buying a supposed jap megadrive does it have RF written on the back of the casing or big brick RF module sitting inside :fresh:
Don't know and don't care . All I care about is if the unit is a true JPN system or Asian. That is easy enough to tell.
This thread just seems like its to stroke your ego.... "I know this, who else can guess!" Share or not share, but why bother with thread like this?
lol Hate to bust your bubble, but being able to use a full stop and a comma doesn't make you a scholar. Also, you set yourself up for that last one - it was hardly me going out of my way for it.
I am afraid Bad_Ad84 is right. Here. I will fix it for you so you can learn from your mistakes "I am so sorry. I didn't realise that Burton on Trent was full of scholars. I just thought that it was known for it's 'red light district', and rising number of unemployed. I am glad that you are finding time in your busy work day, to pick holes in my post..."
