bloody hell ! That a lot of character models some of those people have. I noticed the 1st collector had a nice set of male and female Ranma. Yakumo
Quality. I particularly like the piccie which as this caption (abotu 1/3 of the way down) Above you see a pyramid of 6 paper-made kittens which really looks cute until they start feasting on the poor Wild Wurgen when Yeap is not watching...
I love Baoqiang's super robot selection! Mazinger is always a good thing. You know I don't think I could ever have a display like that in my house. Not that I'm ashamed of my hobbys but I could not imagine taking a girl back to my room and her taking a liking to a bunch of Moe dolls. Still much better than I guy I knew in Osaka who had a thing for "adult" figures. I was very uncomfortable just being in his room with all the flesh on display!
Those people probably all have air purifiers in the room that will take away any dust. I know a guy who keeps his PC room at 15 degrees so that his computers wont over heat ! Bloody freezing in his room. The bad thing is that all his cool stuff is in there including 3 chipped Xboxes :crying: Who says the Japanese hate the Xbox? Yakumo
Nice, nice site.. Reminds me of this guy I know who has a 3000 DVD collection, all anime and all JAP import(he lives in holland).
I have a sick Transformer fetish. I think I have over a hundred figures. My favorite is a MIB 44 Magnum I got from Italy. Not a lot of TF fans know about the two other guns that never made it to America. http://home.student.utwente.nl/j.blok-10/MC-11.htm notice the red tip. I think mine was made in 83-84ish. Appears in Italy it was a bit too real looking even in more innocent times. Notice how we never saw Megatron again after the inital 84 run in gun form. My collection has slowed the last few years and honestly as of late ive been spending more time and money on classic video games and systems. I still want a real Takara Browning to complete my gunrobo collection. One of the reasons for my interest Japan is the Transformer link. Takara is a Japanese company that made them and Hasbro just licenesed the toys and tossed together a cartoon around it. I bet a lot of people here remember crying when Prime died. Man im a nerd.
No shit. If my wife ever leaves me, the game collection goes down to 30-40 games. The rare stuff gets put in storage in my folks house on the mainland. My 'collection' is pretty meager compared to most though. Someone at shmups (where I got the link) mentioned that too. Indeed, a nightmare.
Wow, I never knew there were so many gun transformers. I only knew of Megatron on and that laser gun one with one eye in the center that only appeared on the movie on Cybertron. By the way, that Laser guy wan't an official released Transformer was he? I don't recall seeing any decepticon marks on him. Yakumo
Now that's alot of dolls. I mean character models, of course. I never got into collecting this kind of things. First of all, you need one big place to keep that on display. If only your best ones. Second, besides staring at it, there's not much you can do with those. Oh right, you can always play with them . . . . . Dusting is a bitch, for sure. Air purifiers? Now that's something my wife would love. She's a clean freak and she's really bothered by "off limits" status of all my shelves with games, etc. She already scratched my PS2 twice while attempting to "dust it" [rub a grain of sand or some dust on that silver surface for long enough and you'll see what I mean], so an air purifier would certainly be something she would love to have. By the way... How apropriate is it to get your wife an air purifier for Christmas?
You mean Shockwave, he an official released tranformer, he's the guardian of cybertron appointed by megatron, he appears lot's of times in the G1 seasons.
