is there any chance to get an console reset option (to return to the ed64 main menu) by presisng buttons? maybe krikkz could implement that in the next firmware.

    Dont think its possible

I dont think its possible since it apears that the OS transfers the control to the loaded game rom, thats why you cant store controller pack saves into sd card. But who knows, maybe krikzz could use some magic !

    ...some magic? ^^
if you think of patching the roms, to listen to a key-comb like it's possible in some trainers, i can tell you it's no fun at all to write such a patch-system :D

i made some experiments with patching the controller-pak functions but you can't easily search for some patterns and hook the calls of them, 'cause that patterns aren't constant in all roms.. different dev kits, encrypted ones - these ugly things..
    - in some roms i found the libultra functions in other ones i don't :D
i don't want to say that it's impossible in any way but it's definitly to much work if you could buy a used controller-pak for a few dollars at ebay ^^
btw. that's the reason why paladin isn't working with every game - that program is trying to hook at the entrypoint and set the tv mode and return to the rom startup, before that flag is used by the game

    back to the reset topic:

    http://sd2snes.de/blog/cool-stuff/in-game-reset

the link above describes a way of adding a microcontroller to the controller-port of a snes, maybe you can alter it a bit to let it work with the n64.. ^^

or a bit more easy and less dangerous for the console -> add a wireless relay with a keychain transmitter to your reset-button, but don't sit on it :D

    cheers, saturnu
