hi guys , i recently sold my Neo Geo CDZ on ebay and a Panasonic Video Camera. I am new to selling on the bay and was wondering how long should i wait before i can spend the money i got for the items. i need to put in to consideration that there may be a fault with the item/s due to shipping/handling , when i owned both items they worked great.
In the UK, you can get a dispute for 6 months. I'd generally consider once you recieve good feedback you are probably OK.
I've heard so many nightmare stories about selling on eBay (buyer scams and buyer always winning). Hopefully everything goes smoothly for you!
There are so many ebayers, that never ever leave any kind of feedback...and you cant force em to do so. It became a useless system, more or less. eBay will always favour the buyer, when it comes to problems. Which can be good at times... In case of physcial damage, if you sent registered with tracking number and insurance, it can turn out to be a long and painfull adventure, to clarify whos fault it was. Postal service usually will try to tell you it wasnt packed well. Make photos of the package and ask the buyer to take photos of it as well, after recieving it... Often the whole process is not worth the value of the items. Sometimes its truly annyoing. But I agree, once positive feedback is recieved, spend the money on obscure things... ;D
I've never thought about this, and I've been selling high-value items on eBay for 5 years now. I always withdraw the funds to my bank account as soon as they show up in PayPal. Nothing bad has happened that has been my fault in that many years of selling, and I've only had a single instance of justified negative feedback so far - about 4 instances of unjustified negative feedback, but I managed to get those removed from my profile because I keep good records.
