I picked up a copy of Pokemon Stadium for N64 today at a local used electronics dealer. I've never seen cover before and (although I'm not saying beta) is something I felt worth looking into. Here's some pictures: as you can see, theres no sign of another "normal" decal underneath.
That's a very strange label, it appears to be printed on the cheap going by the water damage. There's a slim chance it was made by a previous owner to replace a torn label, but that's a probably not the case. Is the game playable?
It starts, I haven't played pokemon stadium for quite some time so I'm not 100% sure what to look for. works it does though. comparing to this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6F-RFaDTF4A the intros are the same
Reprinted label, has to be. Looks really low res and made by someone who doesn't have design skills. I think if it was BETA, it wouldn't have any art to begin with?
What does the backside look like? I'm surprised that guy's shop is still in business, stelling stuff like that... guess he never heard of cleaning solvent and a toothbrush :/
Indeed. But then again the N64 pirate cartridges I know need a legit cartridge inserted in the back for booting.
Looks like someone just took a sticker off the sticker sheets they sell in chinatown and put it on the cart. There's no such thing as a 200mbit eprom that would fit in that tiny cart. Pokemon stadium is 25mb in size. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:N64-Game-Cartridge.jpg
cool, I'll grab a gameshark and serial cable soon. whats the best way to do a cry check? I'm on a mac.
