They're not really my favorite style, but the second one is pretty well done. What program did you use?

In some ways, I guess it is some kind of Ejay , but I could be wrong.

It was some Ejay i had laying around, Ejay trance i think it was??. Would like to try some proper software but i'd find it hard for me to sit down and try and learn how to use proper software.

They are not really my style either but when its something i've made i do quite like it.

Better then I expected. Second song seems to be the best so far.

It's not really "creating" music if it's Ejay, more like remixing it, but if it encourages you to learn something more capable then that's great (start with something like fruityloops or "FL Studio" or whatever they call it these days, grab some free VSTs, read some tutorials and go from there).

I use Acid , which I used since it was Sonic Foundry who had it in its fold.

    Real men use Reason ;)

Used to use Acid, but found it very limited for writing tracks. Was competant for remixing and not bad for video work. Is cheap though to boot.

If anyones serious about learning, but are on a budget, d/l Wavosaur - its free and actually quite good, if limited.

Ninja Turtles Boombox with a cassette tape works pretty good.

Well I am a remixer, that is the reason why I use acid.
The real men thing is dull , heck the first time I read such a real men thing, was at a toilet where there stood "real men uses sandpaper".

Chill out boss, i was aiming the first part at ejay rather than acid. Only the second part was aimed at you/acid and I was simply stating its better suited to remixing than production, not taking the piss.

Try to look at a sentence from different viewpoints before ripping people, calling them dull. Its pretty ignorant.

Sir, I wasn´t attacking you :) so easy :) I just think the whole "real men" mantra is a bit silly, and boring.

    QFT.

Im gonna have to agree with Alchy here, try Fruityloops ( FLStudio, whatever:icon_bigg) just to get into making your own stuff, and after your comfortable with that try something more advanced like a combination of Reason and Acid ( Acid can be replaced with Ableton Live, or Sonar. your pretty much just using reason to create music, and Acid/Live/Sonar for mixing, sequencing, and recording actual instruments and voices.)

Fruity Loops is great if you're just starting. It's really simple and easy to use, so you can focus more on song structure, but you won't have as many advanced options like in Reason or Acid.

BTW, 3DO, the second track is really good for the genre. I admit I've never been a fan vocals in music like that, but I dug the groove and the occasional atmospheric sound effects. My only beef is that it sorta got repetitive after about the 3 minute mark, but that's a common trait of the genre.

Do I have your permission to post some of the gay little tunes I've made, or should I just make a new thread for it?
