Hi, since I stumbled across Waku Waku Sonic Police Car and the Sonic Popcorn Shop ROMs, which are indeed hillarious, obscure pieces of software, I digged deeper and ended up with some questions, that google couldnt answer. I dont want to enlist all of the various "Sonic Arcade Machines" out there, just the ones from the image. In short, Im looking to gather all the infos about these Sonic Arcade games and the game files itself here. There is a lot of info spread across the net and I have read on sonicretro and googled a lot by now...and ended up on assembler, hoping for more. ^^ I made this additional graphical overview. I have hardware info and roms for the ones with the green tickmark. a.) I know "Police Car" and "Popcorn Shop" have been dumped. Im aware SEGASonic has been dumped and its quite enjoyable with a joystick. a1.) Just the Police Car game wont let me steer left in MAME, Sonic will only wave with its arm, even if controls are set correctly in mame. Any idea ? (I read about this issue already, but i cant find it again via google) b.) Has Sonic Live! been dumped ? In the video it looks like its fully software based, no hardware reels. What kind of system is working in it ? "SPEC" on the official site doesnt show system specs as one would think. ^^ http://www.rodeo.ne.jp/catalog/sonic/index.html c.) Was Sonic Athletics dumped and which hardware does it use ? I cant find anything. Beeing aware its from 2013, chances for a dump are probably very low. d.) Was the "Sonic Space Tours" design cabinet (1994) ever released ? If so, did it have a display ? I ask as the "official" machine does look very different. e.) Did I miss any news about SEGA Sonic Bros. ROM dump progress ? I remember Shoutime(?) had plans to do so... f.) The Sonic JPM Fruit machine loads with a "picto display" and error 55 on MAME and I cant find the artwork files...is it even supposed to work correctly on mame ? g.) According to system16.com there was a "SEGA Popcorn Shop 2" (2003), I cant find more infos about it. And no it does not look like it has Sonic in it. Thats it so far. Any reply is welcome.
Well, I google translated Waku and it means happy, so why don't website call is Happy Happy Sonic Patrol Car? Why leave Waku untranslated?
