I’ve a problem about some “wet video gameâ€. A week ago in an old videogame store was a FIRE, some sealed games (all the games are IBM&DOS CDs and some 3.5†disks, old mean) absorbed water, others are ruined so then I opened them and others still very well so I keep them sealed. But two games are very rare, I‘m not sure if I would open them, there’s no matter with cd games I guess, but what about 3.5†disks. The games are: Sierra MS-DOS 3.5†Space Quest 2 Vohaul’s Revenge of 1987 And MicroStyle ATARI ST Rainbow Warrior of 1989. The first one is very wet; I put it over the vga monitor in orther to get dry and I did a little cut in the front, it maybe help (it gets more big like the diameter of a 50 cent coin), it didn’t work. What would happen if I keep them sealed, the 3.5" disks might damage? I hope you understand me, be patient. :katamari2
The boxes must look all irregular and terrible by now.Hard to hide water damage. The physical media might be ok, depend.
All right. I`ll keep it sealed then. but i've some doubts about if the disk would be funtional, I hope nothing happens to it. I think the game is more valuable if it is sealed. when i have time i'll take a shot of the game for watching in the forum. Thanks for your answer :icon_bigg
I'll take a picture of the game after and before of the opening. thanks and see you next post.
