Save the file and then drag into media player

Media Player Classic has a screen grab utility, standard Windows Media Player won't let you. Or you could use Snagit.

I can paste the pictures into something like erm paint or even paintshop pro. Then i go to save the picture as a jpg and the media player window goes black. (where it was previously displaying the video)

So i tried doing a print screen of what was on the paint shop pro window and guess what even that does the same thing!

Will try it when i get home tonight. If no one else does it.

I can stream it but it keeps stopping. Is there any way to download it as a file? All I can download is the link to it that just ends up streaming the video again.

paulo, from my experience, anytime you press the prt scr button, you will always get a black screen where the media should be...

best thing to do is to use an app with a screenshot feature (like a software DVD player). i, myself, use WinDVR

Yeah. Like I said, Use Media Player Classic, it's got an image save function (as well as being a far better media player than Media Player itself).

I second that! Print Screen or any normal screen capture thing won't work with videos as modern graphics cards use overlays for videos.
