Something happened in Europe (volcano)

Volcano causes air traffic shut downs? damn it the whole day im doing and finding my best to get my men out back to Asia.. Looks damn serious..

 

powder is dangerous for aircarfts, so they won't fly for a few days....

 

Flying a jet in it would be like shot blasting it. Grit in an engine would shut it down, no engine no real forward movement equals big hole in the ground.

 

I need to fly next week!

 

Heh they shut down airport here in Prague and on top of that they said that the last eruption last for 2 years!
BTW: There was an accident about 20 or 30 years ago when the powder take down a plane and they could not find for a while what happened. Also the powder contain lots of minerals which in this case if you fly through it will light the aircraft as it grind the metal of. Nice lighting effect tho

Word from meteologics in iceland claim this can take until at least next week as the wind direction isn't going to change soon..
Very unreal to see half europe grounded for this long.

 

Mother nature + 1. Damn... you always hear shows on Discovery telling us how nature can fuck us. This doesn't even seem to be a major eruption... am I right?

 

According to some "experts" the best is yet to come. We'll see.

not at all. Volcanoes are awesome, especially if you don't live close to them.

 

I'm hoping for some great shots as well. The sky looks stunningly clear today with no vapor trails at all. Usually there are lots of planes flying above in a high attitude so there are always vapor trails!

The last eruption of this volcano around 1820 last 15 months... cheer up.

 

If it will last equally long, we have a problem.
