We've all seen rom hacks but I think this one is really clever. As sonic you have to avoid the rings instead of collecting them, or you become fat and lose a life. My favorite part of the Metal Slug games was eating all the food and hearing the announcer declare "Big!" as I became huge, and then trying to survive as the fat kid as long as possible. That is freaking hilarious. You can see him getting fatter after a few rings. The only disappointment is it does not seem to affect his physics to make him slower or heavier (at least what I could see from the video).
