So this is the "next-gen" Sonic announcement that was made?
I need more screens, as I can't get enough of an opinion with the renders/screenshots on the link, but I'm thinking it has potential. Still, though, Sonic would look better Cel-Shaded than in "realistic" 3D... being in a cartoon setting, and all. Not that it's been done since Sonic Shuffle, though.
The screens don't look that bad. And it's coming for both PS3 and X360 - good news for anyone that's actually getting a PS3.

 

sigh...more sonic. Make some other franchise, seriously.

lol, im not a fanboy, im not partial to any console, nor any game series, nor game company, if there is a game(s) on a system i want i will purchase the system, im not loyal to any console....well maybe my ds,

 

I hope this Sonic isn't super kid-ified like the first Adventure title. I almost wish they just would have stuck with 2D. But this one definately looks like it has potential.

call me whatever you want, but, and i may be wrong, the graphics, they dont seem that technically advanced, its looks nice, but not for a next gen game, i dunno, maybe i was expecting too much from next gen games...

 

I really hope this Sonic is good. looks really nice to me I can't wait to see the final version.

 

the screens (especially the first one) remind me of old school sonics, which isn't a bad thing at all.

 

Yeh. I really hope its as fast paced as the old school ones with minimal loading time or quick un-noticable loads .

i like the idea that sega is going for a more "down to earth" sonic, but i hope we get really unique and graphically diverse worlds, i would hate to be speeding around in the same "metal enemy/tree world"
