Don't get your hopes up. I've read about it and its just a dodgy pirate version with incorrect screens for the game. Nothing special about it ^_^

Yeah, teh screenshot is a mock-up from one of the other Sonic games.

Supposedly from the axed "Dust Hill Zone" in Sonic 2 I believe...

There hasn't been any reputable sources stating that it is indeed a picture of DHZ. The only true connection we've seen with DHZ was that, in the S2 proto, Mystic Cave Zone was named DHZ. It's very well possible that may have been intended for DHZ, but we've never seen anyone in an official capacity use DHZ to refer to that picture (although there WAS an interview with Brenda Ross, but the interviewer mentioned DHZ first, which might have 'tainted' her memory so to speak, after all, it HAD been ten years). Matter of fact, I believe those pictures were taken straight from an issue EGM, text and all.

As far as I know, that cart hasn't been dumped. I don't think it has a lock-on slot either, so you can only use it to play straight S&K.

Thats why I said supposedly from DHZ and not it was of DHZ :) I think I read that article too....except I read a transcript of it on some Sonic fan-page :)

For more info on dust hill and the other canceled beta levels (such as hidden palace zone) check out sonic-cult's forums. They were axed for a good reason, they really weren't very good. (well compared to all the ones that made it)

Well, I was just making it clear, because the Sonic scene has had a lot of n00bs that regurgitated the 'DESERT ZONE IS DHZ' that they read on some old, outdated site.

Also, HPZ had great visuals IMO, the only problem was that they never finished the level. Too bad it would never have been a 2p zone, because of the water.

That's right, go to the Sonic Cult forums, ask about it, and be flamed and told WELCOEM TOO TWO YEARS AGO and are banned within minutes of hitting submit. Really, try it. :)

I didn't tell him to ask, there are still a few topics up about it (and/or relating information) there, all I meant was to have a look around. I was trying to be subtle about it, you know don't want to cause any trouble (a la propeller arena) :Hangman: I'll shut up now..
