I thought it would be made to resemble Sonic in the packet. When the product relies on a persons artistic ability to assemble it then it is never going to look good. Its basically just a bag of blue gloop.
I have never had curry outside of a small spoonful my roommate made of "Vegan curry" Explain to me what goes into this type of dish and why salt doesnt belong in it
I don't think curry needs any further seasoning, it's basically good to go out of the packet. Just add your choice of meat, a veggie choice or two, on a bed of rice.
You should still use salt and pepper on any meat, the sauce isn’t going to season it just by pouring it over it. Seems like it would be bland even with all those chemicals and dyes in it. That’s what I do when I make curry anyway as it’s not going to stew with it with the instant stuff to develop those flavors. I’m just a food snob.
I think what you call curry and what the UK call curry seem different. There would be no salt and pepper. Meat should certainly be cooked within the sauce for quite some time. Curry has loads of flavour, salt and pepper would make it weird
Yeah I concur with the previous two posts. Curry is basically 100% seasoning, it will include salt if need be. There's a tumeric-based spice mix that's sold in the USA/Canada under the name curry, but it has almost nothing to do with indian-like curry. IIRC curry is simply a word that means sauce or similar and/or a deformation of the french cuit (cooked), it's not a specific spice like some believe in the West.
