Here is an interesting prototype. The line on the back barcode has a red line going through it. I mean come on you wouldn't want some retailer to accidently sell it. Inside 2 copies of Sonic and 2 of Puyo Puyo. Sonic is marked in red across the labels Prototype not for sale. Puyo Puyo marked in white. The manual is clearly a work in progress. There are sections for each language but that it is all that is printed on the page. The back of the instructions is a mirror image of the back of the box without the bar code.
Got this item today too. Nice thing. These are old versions of the n-gage betas, new have colored stripes. Now I have 4 old type betas: Tomb Raider, MLB Slam, Puzzle Bubble VS, Sonic N.
I was tempted to try to collect NGage prototypes but I originally figured that with such a small market for retail games to start with it wasn't worth trying. That and most NGage titles are just terrible. You have proven me wrong on at least point #1 but I fear you have cornered the market already.
The graphics look just like the GBA. Can any tell me if there is anything different from the ngage sonicn and sonic advance?:cur_sonic:
Hmm. For some reason even though i never even thought about Ngage in my life, i am really wanting one of these bad boys.
sort of OT but god I am still kicking my self for loosing my Tony Hawk beta SD. Maybe i'll get lucky and find it when I move next week but i'm pretty sure it got into a box that had paper/receipts and I just end up throwing it out. :banghead: Yes because most of the games where written specifically for Symbian 60 OS and in C/C++.
Ngage is BY FAR the easiest and cheapest cartridge system to buy protos for. I think I have close to 100 protos that were aquired almost on accident from buying other lots. They are underpriced compared with any other cartridge based system and when last I checked there were several eBay auctions that contained them. Often sold in lots you can get them for less than $10 each almost every time. Many you find will be the store demos which were used in kiosks (I picked up lots of those for $1 each) but the press ones are out there as well.
