It struck me as knife does to somebody's back... Ars has a headline about the PS3 game boxes, thanks to a picture from some guy who may or may not work in sony....or bestbuy for that matter. Now, Ars talks only about the package's blue plastic thingy up there but my point is: StH is already gold? when? how? in the E3 they said it would be barely at time for PS3s launch, and now almost 2 months before that is finished, with ESRB rating and even in stock. Did anyone here knew about this?
None: Ars doesnt post them most of the time. No wonder why: they posted the CDI Zelda videos after some guy posted them on their forums, which was a repost from the ASSEMbler forum.
If you read the comments on the page at ars, someone points out that the spine text is upside down, so it's likely just a mock up. someone else points out that it isn't rated by the esrb yet.
Those pictures were already determined fake. One tell is the manual is a single thin paper. Another is if you zoom in at the top of the box's picture you can see where they photoshopped out a magizine/websites image tagging. This guy bought a blu-ray movie, or got a case atleast, and printed the things up. Then he took photos.
hideous box design! ugh! no no, here's an example of official box design. The blu-ray logo is at the top, but transparent: http://ps3land.com/images/boxart/1_large.jpg http://ps3land.com/images/boxart/4_large.jpg -Concura
That brings up a question, did the decide all PS3 software will be on Blu-ray discs, no option of using a DVD? As we know on PS2, games were on both CD and DVD, CD being much less common esspecially as time went forward.
Well, i remember reading the PS3 specs from E3 and on the media description i remember reading "PS3 BD-ROM and PS3 DVD-ROM". But they'll probably only use DVD-ROM for demos and "utility discs"
