Links have started to appear for the PS3 stuff at the Sony Conference Pictures and a translation - http://www.maxconsole.net/?mode=news&newsid=4285 Original pictures and text (not English) - http://www.watch.impress.co.jp/av/docs/20050721/scei2.htm
the ps3 controller looks worse than what i remember of it. 0_o thx for sharing. edit: the controller reminds me of a batman boomrang. well, they still removed that useles analog button and replaced the cheap looking select and start buttons made from recycled tires. Am i the only one wondering what this ''eye'' in the middle of the controller is? a rolling ball?
I didn't think Sony could actually make a console any uglier than the PS2, but I guess I was wrong. The controller is actually worse than the dual shock. I hate the design so much, I don't even think I'm going to buy one.
i personally likes the ps2 look alot, but i must agree that the ps3 is ugly though. the point of view i like the best for this system is the rear picture, really.
much Ps3 they must sell, You Say. Much too late unfortunately to keep their position in the market, You say. when this is the quantity that is approached you must say over expectations. We can only say yeah to titles power positively.???? I might have known more before the taking in of written letters of that thing of reading.
Boy, is that controller ugly. Doesn't look comfy either. The console will be ugly and expensive. Either they have a killer app... or this might be a hard console to sell. I might be wrong, though... still, and to quote Star Wars.... "I have a BAAAD feeling about this"
yes the Sony CDI PS3 has a batarang controller LOL sorry . anyway let them hammer around and i think it is quite boring , since my newest console is my GBA.
Let's hope it doesn't make them change it. We need some fresh air in the games industry. It's getting Dull with the top ten games consisting mostly of PS games. Yakumo
Here's the short version I got from skimming a Japanese article. Wish I would've known someone translated the whole thing.
sounds like a bloody PC. A console should do one thing and one thing only, Play games on and off line ! Yakumo
Multifunctional consoles today are like Home PC Conversions were in the 1980s - the way to trick consumers into thinking their console is more than a games machine. In the end, doing this will fail at the multifunction component (because there are dedicated machines for that), and the console component (because the system is not primarilly a games machine) - and we'll have another Coleco ADAM or Mattel Aquarius on the horizon. Once again, "I have a BAD feeling about this..."
