    Wow, what a drop. I was expecting a $99 PS2 this year.

Sorry, madhatter. That always sucks when that happens. When did you get it and from who? If it was very recent and you got it from Gamestop or EB, you can go back and get your $20.

I am suprized that the ps2 is still as expensive as it is. I mean, the next Gen system is already going to be coming out late this year.

Yeah, 20 USD isn't really that much. Now 50 USD is something to shout about

Yeh, well $20 is a big deal to Sony. Expect the $99 mark to come around the time the PS3 is launched - it only makes sense financially (to Sony at least). As far as I'm concerned, complaining that they didn't drop it down to $99 is too whiny if you don't have one already - you'll at least have it on the cheap nonetheless - or if you already own it, in which case just enjoy that you got yours when you did.

$129 is a nice price for the fine games on the PS2 - I only really like the RE: Outbreak series and Max Payne 2, but I imagine there are other fun games I could swish around in.

Big deal, a friend of mine says Xbox is at 99euro in spain.

Anyways, I dont give a damn about PStwo since I cant use HDD on that thing, and no way in hell I'm going back to 96's loading times...

MH, why dont you return the pstwo, get store credit and then buy it again? it should get you 20 or 40 bucks of spare credit for a game.

a similar thing happened to me when nintendo reduced the price of the n64 by £100 just after i bought it.

i wrote in and complained and they sent me a controller. not much but at least it was something.

i also remember them selling games cheap as a sorry for having to send in the defective power plug which was recalled (although can anyone confirm) the list initially had three games but after i said i had them all they extended it and i got starfox + rumble pack

Depending on how long ago you bought it may be possible to go in and get the difference back. Some stores will do that in the event of a sudden price drop. Time is of the essence though.

Its not fast but it works. Loading times can be the same as if it was loading off the DVD from what I read online.

    Nope, is hell:-(

There's that adapter but it needs a lot of soldering and would obviously void the warranty.

Are you always this annoying? Dude look at the time stamp on your post and his post. They are only a few mins apart. Its likely he started his reply only a couple of mins before you posted.

Now why dont you pay more attention to things before opening your mouth?

So now you think that you are in charge of how long people have to reply to posts?

What kind of deluded world do you live in? Keep the attitude up and you will be out of here soon.
