    Hi,

I've had a couple of buyers back out, so I have some of these for sale. Just in case you have no idea what in the hell a portable CD-I looks like, look here:

    http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=8175256815&ssPageName=STRK:MESO:IT

I have one nice, mint unit for sale. It's $100 + shipping.

They'd been going in under 2 hrs on ebay at that price BIN, but if I can just sell it here instead for that, that's what I'd rather do.

sh3: Your unit will ship tomorrow

republix: Your unit is in the mail, coming to me. I'll let you know when it gets here.

Post, PM, or email me at cforsdavis@yahoo.com

If my one Italian ebay buyer doesn't pay me in a BIG hurry, there'll be one last unit for sale at $100.

Oh, and I have pics of EVERY unit, individually, so if you email me, I can send you a picture of the exact unit you will be recieving.

EDIT: I now also have one cosmetically imperfect unit on ebay here:

Are these units MPEG enabled? Or limited to just the non-MPEG CD-i games? Will they play CD-i movies?

Lol, well, the imperfect one just sold already. I think it was less than ten minutes.....

These do NOT have the digital video cartridge and cannot be upgraded, so they will not play VCDs, etc...

This is why these sell for $100-$200 and the DVI-enabled units (Philips CDI-350, 360, and elusive 370) can sell for $500++.

argh, I live in CD-i country and I've seen about everything CD-i (including a proto disc at a flea market) but NEVER a portable CD-i player :-(

I'd never heard of/seen them before either & my CDi is a really tatty mess so I didn't have to think twice about asking for one... just have to ease up on the spending 'cause I can hardly earn it quick enough at the moment ;)

If I can get another (not certain that I can), do you want one?

I bought my one source's last unit for ID Republix, but I *might* be able to track a couple down elsewhere. Lemme know.

Sh3: Your unit has shipped, lemme know how you like it.

    Ok, fair enough.

It's official, I do have the option to get a few more of these, and if I can get some interest, I'll go ahead and do it.

Price will remain $100/unit + shipping, as they appear to be going like hotcakes at that price.

Portable CD-i players are very cool. I've lusted after one of the Philips MPEG enabled units ever since they were first shown at CES. If anyone manages to track down one of those let me know. I'll gladly swap out a stack of proto CD-i discs for one of those. :)

    Ok, the extras have arrived.

I currently have one on ebay, which is in just particularly nice condition, hence the higher price point:

    NOT HERE PLEASE! EBAY THREAD....

Besides the one that ID-republix is buying, I have 6 more, $100 apiece to ASSEMbler people.

Has anyone seen/heard from ID-republix? His last post was on the 21st, and I haven't heard from him since....I've got his unit waiting for him.

Chris, I'm VERY impressed with this nice little unit... cost me less than £80 delivered?! I now know just how bad Zelda Wand of Gamelon is but I've yet to be shocked at my promo copy of the other Zelda game ;)

    WanganRunner, here's to you! ;)

    kevin

ps, what a nice surprise to find the psu is also 240v friendly :)

Please post your auction links in the ebay thread... Dint mind the first link as it was to a dead auction (even then i dont think i should leave it in) and gave information about the item and you were selling the items here. However please dont post live auctions in your posts outside of the ebay thread.

Sorry, this was not intended to be an 'auction' post. I'm just offering that particular unit as an example of what they look like and a description of what the unit does.

The ones for sale to ASSEMblergames members are priced at $100, and are off-ebay transactions.

    Sorry, won't do it again.
