It did come with matching pads. That is not a complete set. BSL> If you search Yahoo! Japan Auctions you should be able to find the auction and therefore find out how much Eric paid for it. Just look at the final bid. As an estimate, since it's an incomplete console without the box or paperwork, and it's missing the back ports, he likely paid somewhere around $300-400 USD for it. A complete unit used to go for around $1000 USD about 2 years ago, but the price has come down. These days a complete unit goes for around $700 USD. -hl718
For one of the worlds worst build quality consoles it isn't worth $100 IMO. I paid $35 for a 7501 that has 0 flaws, only playstation in my town of 75k that is like it.
No, it isn't. There were a total of 3,000 made, one for each major territory (NTSC/J, NTSC/UC, PAL) if I have my numbers right. They are all standard SCPH-700X units, complete with retail BIOS and standard territory lock. What makes them special is the fact that they have a limited edition case, are all marked "NFR," have matching controllers and a slick looking box. If you're looking for a nice collector piece, a complete 10 Million Model unit is a very nice thing to have in a showcase. The controllers themselves are a bit more common, (I want to say each territory got 10,000 controllers) but still don't pop up all that often. *NOTE* - All the production numbers are from memory and have not been double checked as I don't have the inclination to dig through archives. AFAIK they are correct, but they *may* be off. Please do not take them as gospel without double checking then yourself. -hl718
