Sony had 150 sets of these made. You can often find fakes for sale but the PS logo is a sure giveaway. I've seen a few real ones sell on ebay and there must be some diehard Nike collectors as they sell for 1500-2500 a PAIR !! crazy stuff.
Nice! These seem really familiar to me actually... werent these made near the release of the PS1? ... & on a side not, does anyone find it weird that 5 days after This Topic, (http://assemblergames.com/forums/showthread.php?t=15219) This one pops up?
One thing's for damn sure... if I paid $2000 for a pair of sneakers I would have a heart attack if I stepped in some dog poo.
Damn, I would never such an amount of money for a pair of shoes, and for their look I'm not sure that they worth all that money...
I'm thinking the value of collectable Nike tennis shoes has NOTHING to do with how they look. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=250160985230 Here is one they put out for the PS3 launch. http://www.hypebeast.com/2006/11/nike-playstation-3-air-max-36090-hybrid/ You like that one better?
I know... I just don't have collector mind (at least for stuff like that), so it's hard for me to understand that some people can pay so much for a pair of shoes that they'll never use, thought.
Nintendo and RUN DMC made some Mario shoes, Microsoft made a Nike air max 360 Xbox 360 shoe etcetera... But the PS1 Air Force 1's are highly sought after, and worth some serious dough.
I bet they make you run faster, jump higher and your feet lighter, just like those Nike trainers I always wanted as a kid!
this sort of collector's item is out of my radius of interest. I m more into computer hardware, and artwork sometimes, but this is just not that game-related imo.
Need the advantage over your friends on your buddy list but don't know how to mod. Yes its even harder to detect than the lowly gameshark. Its gotta be the shoes. Wait whats that?!?! <THUD> <THUD> <THUD> OPEN UP ITS THE GAME POLICE! PUT DOWN THE SHOES AND NO ONE GETS HURT
Well, the PS3 shoes look way better, with only 24 pairs made they must be damn expensive between shoe collectors...
