The D-Pad and buttons on the DS lookalike seem like they'd be better (for me at least) than what's offered on the real thing.
sorry for using the word "clones" ! let's say cheap ripoffs the "DS" has 2 built in games (one on the upper screen and one on the lower one, lol) and that "PSP" has 3 built in games...seen for 6 GBP i dunno if you know the GameKing ( www.gbax.com ). The GameKing II is coming and the design is...well...reminds me A BIT of the PSP, but just a bit //edit: With mentioning GBAX i have to say, that you will find MANY cheap and dirty ripoffs on that site, but it's quite funny...Treamcast, Super Mega Drive 3 etc. etc.
Yeah, Yakumo has that DS one, from a UFO catcher in Japan. Rather interesting lighting mechanism on that one. You know, I've seen some of those cheap LCD games with the names of popular games on the package to cheaply rip off and sell more (you know - Final Fantasy or Resident Evil.) Weird, huh?
I could buy one of those DS clones right now, though instead I'm going to buy myself a legitimate one later today for the amazing bargain price of just £40! Despite being a second-hand Japanese boxed model without any games, it will still be a much better investment than paying for the kind of semi-interactive crap I would expect to find in a kid's fast food meal. How they continue to pass this sort of thing off as entertainment is beyond belief, especially when you have to actually pay for it. Besides, the PSP has already got working 16-bit emulators - is there really such a demand for LCD games or are these Eastern pirates just desperate to shift large warehouses full of old technology?
Yeah, those are both LCD games in the respective cases. Lik sang had an article on them a while ago. Actually, there was a thread here about them too if I remember right.
