SONY PSX DESR-5000 or 7000 price ?

anyone knows what they cost maybe ?

found 2 on ebay one is for 700$ flat and the other 999$ reserve =( so is the 700 $ a good price (that would be for the desr-5000 with 160gb hdd)

oh and can they be mod-chipped to work all region ?

 

You mean the media centre one? I'd say thats a pretty good price, considering (i think) thats close-ish to what the were sold for in japan. However i think htey're nothing but an expensive PS2/DVD player outside Japan..

 

I just bought and paid for a PSX on eBay for about $500, but the same seller has listed another one with exactly the same pics... so might be a false auction

Also I won a PS2 TEST debugger and a slim PS2 from the same seller, and now the thieving conning canieving baztard has gone and un-registered with eBay
I doubt that'll get resolved. Damn you eBay! lol

 

yeah i was thinking already about ordering it direct from japan amazon.co.jp has a new one for 100.000Yen and a used for 60.000 yen

and yes i mean the media center i just need some new toys to play with and since my xdk is delayed and the 3do m2 still in the mail maybe i go for a early birthday present and order a psx also =)

i saw this strange ps2 test also there where at least 4 or 5 worldwide and some other strange coincidences thats why i didnt go for the ps2 test

maybe assembler has one left of his dirty dozen :-D

ps. just saw theres a new model out a desr-5500 and a 7500 dont know what the differences are =(

oh and i remember seeing a us psx-5000 some days or maybe a week ago that was supposed to be the first us model maybe a prototype

They were, but it was such a shameful failure that they didn't bother. They retailed for $1,000 USD, might have something to do with it. *wink*
