Hi, Anyone here with a Sony PSX DESR system?
How can i change my bootup? Since i live in the Netherlands, the TV channel option wont work. But when i start the system up, it will automatically show that analog tv snow,(With the XMB menu in front) because nothing is connected. Is there a way to change that with just the still blue PSX screen? Some kind of adjustment in the menus??
    Thanks!

No, you can't. This is a DVR afterall.
But you can change the channel to the line-in, which would be a blank if nothing is connected.

You can simply delete all the programmed channels and make it power on with the A/V input selected. It will give you a black screen instead of static.

Unlike 5000/5100/7000/71000 the units of 5500/5700/7500/7700 series do blue-screen instead of static/noise when no channel is tuned in or antenna is disconnected.

I remember that I could set the channel to AV IN, but I just don't remember how I did it and my PSX has been disconnected from the TV and mains.
But that was in 2013, before I accidentally wiped the channels that its previous owner set up. >_>

@iStreet: Great input, glad it worked!

I wish more people knew how to use their PSX, read/check the manual/available .pdf, or simply ask here. You often read about "broken" systems just because people cannot get pass the TV channel static or don't know how to properly quit games and power-off the system.

Here's a quick guide for anyone stuck with the TV channel static. Provided that you have no devices connected to the antenna or LINE ports of the PSX:
    1. From the XMB go to 設定[settings] > テレビの設定[tv settings] > 自動チャンネル設定[automatic channel configuration] and choose 実行する[initiate]
    2. Wait for the system to search for available channels (approx. 2-3 mins.)... no channels are found and the テレビの設定[tv settings] menu is displayed again
    3. Choose テレビ[tv function] from the XMB and you will see that LINE is automatically set
    3. Go to 設定[settings] > テレビの設定[tv settings] > ミュート設定[mute setting] and select する[enable] to avoid flicker on the LINE channel
