Hi guys, quick question about the monitor. I currently use a phillips mk11 for my super famicom, which i have had no problems with. I have an opportunity to pick up a sony pvm, question, is there a noticable difference in picture quality ?
    Many thanks.

Do you mean a Philips CM8833 Mk. II?

    That's a 14" monitor, vs. a 20" broadcast quality monitor.

It's got an HR Trinitron screen with 800 lines and accurate colour matching. It eliminates white balance drift. It accepts component, RGB, Y/C and composite; PAL, NTSC and SECAM.

However, you might well need to build a SCART adapter, as I don't think it has one. The Philips has a SCART socket.

Thanks for reply. I can get a lead for sfc to Sony pvm for about 20. It's quite a hefty beast, got to work out where to put it.
