I have some unexpected expenses involving my car that I need to take care of immediately (I use my car for work) so I need to sell some stuff including my beloved Sony PVM-2530 monitor. The monitor works great and I used it with SNES, Genesis, TG16 (requires internal mod), N64 (requires internal mod), Neo Geo AES, Sega Master System, Atari Jaguar, and Sega Saturn. Consoles connect to the monitor via 9-pin db9 female connector (wired for Commodore 1084 style monitor), or 15-pin db15 female connector via the included cable. This is a professional grade monitor.

PRICE: $200 CASH FIRM. You pick up in the San Francisco East Bay area (I am 20 miles north of San Francisco in the City of Point Richmond. You MUST email me, as I do not answer PM's due to my busy schedule (email is the best and pretty much only way I correspond daily). my email adress is: eastbayarb@gmail.com

Below is a picture of the monitor. Doesn't look like much from this picture due to the lighting, but trust me, once you go RGB, you'll wonder how you ever dealt with anything else! This is the BEST way to play classic gaming and Neo Geo just looks stunning!

    Forgive my naive questions...

So If I have a regular RGB cable for Genesis SNES, and NEo Geo, will it work as a straight plug in on this without a modification?

That is correct. SNES, Genesis, and Neo Geo do not require internal RGB modifications. 3DO, TG16/PC Engine, and N64 do.

I need to get one of these....even just a tiny one.

Too bad you're on the other side of the country.

I believe he is referring to either official Japanese 21-pin connector RGB or SCART cables, both of which are not supported without an adapter...

The Sony PVM-25XX series inputs RGB on a DB-25 connector, an adapter cable with just wires can be built for Japanese 21-pin RGB, but not necessarily for SCART. SCART doesn't have a discrete composite sync signal, you have to strip it from composite video which requires a sync separator circuit. It's possible that you can wire composite video to the composite sync pin, but I wouldn't count on the monitor having a sync separator on that input without trying it.
