    Dear PlayStation Developer,

The Developer Support Staff at Sony Computer Entertainment is pleased to announce the Sony Computer Entertainment Developer Support BBS. The BBS will be your source for the latest technical information, software updates, and communication with Developer Support and the PlayStation development community.

We have chosen a FirstClass server which supports two kinds of connections: VT-100 terminal emulator dial-ups, as well as a graphical user interface, with client versions that run on the Macintosh and under Windows. We strongly recommend that you use the GUI whenever possible.

An important feature of the Developer Support bulletin board is the conferencing feature. Conferences allow callers to post general system-related questions in public areas. The Developer Support staff will frequently review these conferences, posting comments and answers to questions. Because many questions are recurring, engineers may find answers to questions they had not yet asked or even thought of. This will save time for both developers and the Developer Support staff, allowing both to forge ahead and concentrate on unresolved technical issues.

The BBS also features private e-mail to a "Developer Support" address for posting queries privately. These questions will be routed to the appropriate engineer and the answer will be returned privately to your mailbox.

We urge you to call the bulletin board, download the graphical interface client software, and browse around. Our hope is that the bulletin board will become the primary medium of communication for routine technical matters, as well as the primary distribution method for software updates and soft-copy versions of technical documents.

If you are interested in obtaining a BBS account, please fill out the attached form and fax to XXXX at 555-555-5555, or send by e-mail to:

    XXXX@scea.sony.com

We look forward to seeing you on the BBS! Sincerely,

The Developer Support Staff Sony Computer Entertainment

Wow, cool. Have you tried contacting the company yet? I wonder if the BBS still exists or if someone uses it, I'm going to LOLFMAO if someone still uses it, or if it's still in place. I mean, it's better than IRC, right?
