Internet TV streaming. You download one of the players and you have access to live TV streams via a P2P network. If someone decides to stream the show you can tune in to his channel and watch it. Right now it's just getting off the ground and it's pretty disorganized. You have to go hunting through the internet for people who are streaming what you want to see. Sports coverage is getting to be pretty good. I'm watching ESPN from the US right now here in Japan. They also have streams for HBO, Comedy Central, etc., and channels devoted to just one movie or show. One channel is playing Scary Movie 4 in a loop. The Beta player is supposed to let you get video on demand. Anyway, it's new but it looks pretty good so far.
Joost looks pretty cool, but Sopcast can be braodcast by anyone, so you can get specific sports games when they're on live.
I watched Mayweather De La Hoya on Sopcast. I didn't realise quite what it was tbh, thought it was more for leechers watching free sports. Ooops.
If it's anything like Joost, then it should be awesome, especially since you can add your own shows! -Gamerfreak1727
I just signed up to Joost. Great stuff. I never knew anything like this was available. The problem is though that the missus had the Madonna channel running with the PC connected to the TV I'll have to put a stop to that  Yakumo
