I'm diligently reversing the game data for Soul Calibur (http://www.romhacking.net/forum/index.php/topic,8180.0.html), and I just wanted to chum the water and see what modifications people might like to see, or what features the community might like added/changed/etc. to the game. Also, if there are any takers on giving me a hand in reversing the data, I wouldn't mind that either. Specifically, someone who knows a fair amount about different types of DC textures and meshes. In any event, all comments are welcome. If you already know something about the game that would save me some time, please feel free to share. Thanks, jwurmz
From what I can remember, the game's bgm uses fixed sample rate. You can use GoldWave to open and save RAW files. It will ask the sample rate. I think it's 44k 16bit mono. Every bgm uses 2 files, one for each channel. I would love to see the 3d models. Tell us if you figure out how to convert them.
Thank you for your input on the BGM. I'll check it out and let you know how it goes. As far as 3d mesh data (and their textures) go, I know nothing for certain yet. That's my biggest priority, and I'll be sure to share with everyone if I manage to figure it out. For several reasons, I *think* 3d mesh data is exported from LightWave in Ninja format. If I had a LightWave model that was exported into .nja format (like a cube with a simple texture), I could compare the file with that of one I suspect is SC mesh data and see if there are any similarities. I just don't have all the tools to do so... and I won't be surprised if everyone else doesn't either. Just an idea  Stay tuned...
Your memory serves you correct, GoldWave works like a charm with the settings you suggested
