Here's a pack of source code for several games on a bunch of platforms. This was originally released on underground-gamer by someone else, but as we all know that site is no longer around. But to be clear, this pack was not put together by me. Most of the sources are in assembly language, and in some cases there are only sources available for part of a game (such as the sound engine, for example).

My apologies if this has already been posted or goes against the rules.

I've seen a lot of this stuff before, but I'm grabbing it purely for Space Funky BOB code, along with the audio tracks.

Thanks a lot for uploading such a lovely set of stuff.

Whoa, thanks. Didn't know so many were out there!

Chicken Run's out there too, but download links were down the last time I checked. Anybody have it, by any chance?

I think the Final Fantasy and Metroid source codes are the coolest of this bunch, but thanks for the other stuff too, I'll have some digging to do tonight! ^_^

As a game devloper this is gold, I love reading sourcecode from older games, it's interesting to see how they fixed/hacked bugs and sometimes one will find really cool solutions. Thanks alot ^_^

The Japanese PlayStation game Beatmania Best Hits contains the C source code for the prior game in the series, Beatmania 5th Mix. Copy the "dummy" file off the disk and rename it to something.lzh and have at it. The source can actually be compiled and run - I've done it.

Only just saw this. Seems to be mostly reverse engineered, but worth a look for sure! Thanks!

Interesting! It's old enough that ASSEMbler would probably be OK with sharing of that file if anyone wants to do so! :)

Seriously? That sounds dangerous, even some decade-plus later.

If the source code was left on the retail disc then of course. It's already out there, it's unlikely if anyone shared JUST the available source code that anyone would mind.
