Valve, in their great benevolence (praise Gabe), released the tool they use to make their game trailers free of charge. You can do more than Valve fan videos thanks to people ripping models straight off many games.I am a fan of quality SFM videos specially when they are not Gmod brand "randumb". Most users make things like this:

But SFM can do movie quality animation. Usually official trailers show it off the best but second one is fan made.

You‘re a little late to the party on this one, but seeing as this was never mentioned on here, I see no harm. SFM is an incredibly powerful tool for the source engine, & I too was very happy that they packaged it up for personal use, as it was an in-house tool only for a couple of years. If you are any good at film editing, SFM is pretty easy to pickup.

My only gripe is that it works with TF2 only, & I am sure it‘s still that way. I was hoping to use it for my Source Engine mod for in-game cinematics, but no dice. Hopefully someday it will extend its reach to other titles.

I knew it was old news, but I wanted to introduce SFM videos more than the software. Maybe have people exchange their favorites.
