I'm wiring up some of my stuff and I need some D-terminal connectors so
I can make some cables. Anyone know a source for these?

Japan? I've never seen them for sale anywhere else, but have seem them in the little electronic shops in Akihabara. I'm sure Tatsujin or Gaijinpunch might be able to pick a few up as they weren't that expensive.

Wikipedia says that the D-terminal and the Apple AAUI connector are the same:

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Apple_Attachment_Unit_Interface

If you're not desperate enough to scavenge these from old Mac peripherals, I imagine that searching on the Apple part will bring up the right American equivalent part number. Nobody on this side of the Pacific will list it as a D-terminal connector.

Yeah there's the Electronics Market in Akihabara (the one with the 5 foot high ceilings) they will surely have them, I was nosing around in there and they have tons of different cable ends. I was going to pick up some mini USB ends when I was there.

Tatsujin makes it out there WAY more often than me. ;)
But yeah, pretty sure you're going to be limited to Japan. I took a TV over to Hawaii that had D-Terminal, and of course, it was useless.

Out of curiosity, why would you need such a connector?

You can get them from mouser.com

    http://www.mouser.com/catalog/633/1179.pdf

You need the 14 contact connector, also download previous/next catalog page for cable, casing, etc...

You can probably find them on digikey.com also
