You know, them little rubber bits that close the contacts on the joypads. I have 2 controllers here which could do with them replacing but I've bought some before and they just didn't feel 'right'. Can anyone recommend a seller who has ones which are close to original spec? Thanks.
maybe better to try and get some from a different / newer controller? What's wrong with the ones you have, maybe they just need a clean.. if you still have them that is.
The rubber gets softer with age, so they just feel a bit loose and crappy. I bought one of those el cheapo knockoff controllers and tried swapping the rubbers, but they didn't quite fit properly. Took a punt on a set of these, will post back to see if they are any good or not: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Nintendo-...s-Pads-Repair-NEW-FREE-SHIPPING-/130703753858
would be most appreciated if you could post back with the results, this is good info to know, would be better to repair a controller than to kill another one to save it. if that makes sense.
I have noticed snes d-pad contacts seem to split fairly regularly. Whenever i get a control pad that is unrepairable i like to keep the bits out of it for moments like these.
Bad news, they are the same crappy rubbers as used in the knock off controllers. Not sure what feedback to leave about them, probably just give them 5 stars as they arrived quickly but say that they aren't the same as the official rubbers so you might want to try somewhere else.
Could you not just butcher up some rubber thingies from a dead ps2 controller? I did the same thing for a trashed Saturn controller I had, worked like a charm
