Is there anyway to convert old SNES SPC files into .wav/mp3/wma/etc. so that I could 'take them with me' to listen to?

I've already tried "SPC Tool v0.61" and "spc2midi" but those severely change the music or require DOS. I'd prefer a Windows9x interface or *Nix based method if at all possible. Thank-you.

Get Winamp and the SNESAmp plugin (http://www.alpha-ii.com/Download/Main.html#SNESAmp). Then change the output plugin in Winamp (in preferences) to Disk Writer, and set the settings to whatever you want (output file location, sampling freq., etc.).

Then just play whatever songs you want from a playlist. You won't hear anything, and it'll go through the songs pretty fast, so be careful! Instead of outputting the sound to your sound card Winamp is just writing it to wav files. Each song should be in a different file. Then just use whatever program of your choice to convert to MP3 or whatever else (CDex, BeSweet, etc.).

Be careful about the sound level settings of the SPC plugin and turn off the graphic equaliser of Winamp, as these affect the output to the wave files.

A much easier way to convert SPC to WAV is just to use Super Jukebox which is the BEST SPC player out there !! It's a stand alone software so you don't need anything else for it to run. In the options there's an option to output the audio as a wav file. Super Jukebox also have many nice features that other SPC players don't have.

the free software xmplay can output a really better sound than super jukebox, and the waves saved sound really better (you can even add a "surrond" setting that really makes them like arranged versions!)

by the way for just playing super jukebox rules

What about any .NSF or .USF audio conversion programs? Or at least, separating .NSF files into individual tracks. Thanks : )
