Hi. I used to have (before I flashed it) a ROM menu that would let me play video files from the CD ROM on a PS disc. It was on a Blue 'Chip Card' (Action Replay) rip off. I am after that ROM. Can I still re-flash it back with it? It was a blue menu, and it had Japanese as well as English characters to select from when adding hex in the add cheat section.
xplorer rom on an xplorer, as well as caetla and its many hacks/clones does the trick. Its through the file manager.
Basically what you have there is a clone of an Action Replay, you can load most roms onto it using xflash. All you need is one that has the file browser on it. The later ones had this functionality as they were jsut hacked versions of caetla with the settings menu hidden. Do you have the ROM for it, or know where I can download it again for it? I need it mainly for VCD testing as I remember it had this feature... *EDIT* So I just flash it with CAETLA?
It wont help you with proper 'VideoCD', as they are mpeg1 and the psone cant play them without a proper add-on card. Just grab xflash.. http://www.murraymoffatt.com/playstation-xplorer.html then get caetla from hitmen.
