Ok. So, a friend of mine notified me about this unreleased prototype of Spider-Man for the PS1. It differs almost completely from the game we got in many ways. If you want, here are 2 pictures of it: Apparently it was shown off during E3 of 1998 (video form only), when the actual game was released in 2000. Some info IGN has on their article archive: The cast of evil enemies are all well represented in Spider-Man, including Venom, Doctor Octopus, and Carnage, and Peter Parker's sexy red-head wife, Mary Jane, will make her appearance as well. Players will take on Spider-Man's athletic fluidity as well as his acrobatic skills as the explore the depths of Manhattan. A few of the locales include abandoned subway tunnels and a super villain prison.
