    Sup assemblergames.

Happy to announce that nearly 13 years after learning of the spinner capability programmed within T3K that we've actually managed to do just that: enable proper spinner control in Tempest 3000.

Details pending at SCRGE Aug 20 when we will release the details at my unofficial Jeff Minter exhibit; for now there's plenty of teasers on my twitter and a recorded session on periscope for your enjoyment here.

This is indeed excellent work, great job!

Always fancied picking this up but couldn't justify the cost for one game and a system, especially these days.

Tried watching the teaser but the link soda it finished 2 days ago, would be good to see it in action.

    Bollucks to Periscope!

There will be much footage of the machine in action come Aug 20, I promise.

This is awesome! Congratulations! I had a Tempest stand up in my arcade back in the early 90's. Despite it's age it still raked in the quarters and I absolutely loved playing it. Years later I bought a modded Jaguar controller to play Tempest 2k at home, and WOW it made a huge difference in gameplay. I've been hoping that someone would do the same thing for the NUON ever since. Thank you very much for doing this! It's the best thing to happen with the NUON in many years.

Would you be able to open source schematics and information on the Polyface protocol? I think I may know of a source for Polyface chips where there could be new controllers made. If the chips end up not being available, using the specs you have uncovered, perhaps we could use something like the raspberry pi zero's CPU, GPIO to act as a intermediary Polyface work-alike to add USB ports to existing Nuon systems.
