Sports games, A dying genre?

    Or to win the Super Bowl/World Cup/World Series/etc. Or to manage a franchise. :nod:

    Sports games certainly serve a purpose. I just don't think a new one every year serves a purpose. Maybe make a new one when there's going to be a subtsantial change.

    Two things I have to say about today's sport games are:

    - Wii Sports helped a lot with the Wii promotion to the point that even non-gamers would buy Wii.
    - Pro Evolution (aka Winning Eleven) is still the No1 national sport in Greece. Heck, there is even a song that glorify Pro (and not only :p ):

    I know sports games will never die. Maddan nfl for a fact won't why becouse if you look at sale charts its on of the top 10 frachises in video games. So if sports games were to die i think american football would be the last to die.
