spray painting the ps1

    hey guys

    i have a family of ps1's ;D and i want to know what spray paint i should use UK places please. and is there anything i should be wary off?

    3000 grit sand paper (sand lightly), rustoleum, and then buy the rustoleum clear coat. i recomend spraying light coats of the paint and coming back in an hour to do the next spray about 6 times, same with the clear coat

    i am looking online at homebases website, they have some boring colours :( is there any other paint companies you can recommend?

    You could mix them, match them and make your own fruitylicious colours!!! Just a thought.....

    exactly I actually painted a car in my little pony by mixing base colours
    found here

    I personally use kylon fusion. It's a formula that bonds to plastic very well, then I use whatever clear coat I have on hand. Fusion doesn't need prep either (unless you want to) and it works like a charm.

    only issue is Krylon fusion isnt really sold in the UK

    thanks its not an mk3 unfortunately, its an 86 pony escort :D literally

    never worked with plasti-kote, i know if its not an oil based paint its not going to work too well

    In the UK i am sure that would be a Mark 3 escort by the year its made... never heard of the ''pony escort''

    was a short release here in america, ford made it as a joke because it uses the same body as an 84 foxbody mustang and it was an economy vehicle.

    08 cobra was my favorite mostly because it was in knight rider

    aaah help my eyes!!! what has been seen cannot be unseen! that poor poor escart has been abused in one of the worst ways imaginable :(

    i have a soft spot for 80's and early 90's Fords :-(

    anyway as for thread starters Question, Vinyl dye you can get a lot nicer selection of colours

    yeah, i do love fords myself especially the RS turbo and RS cosworths :D Vinyl Dye ill have a look online for that

    Have a look at this thread where VHT Vinyl Dye was used. Seems to get good results.
