Not sure if this is off topic or not. But since it is about games I'll stick it here. While looking at all my long lost treasures in the loft I noticed my 12 year old birthday present. It was a Nintendo Game & Watch called Squish. the condition of it is still not too bad. Not too sure if it still works though. I'll have to get some batteries for it first. I'm just wondering how much would this duel screen game be worth these days? I've seen some go for quite a bit. With this being an un popular title it could be quite rare. Anyone have any ideas about it?
It is one of the common Multi Screen games, nothing to get excited about really. Is it boxed? Does it have the battery cover? Is the catch broken? If battery cover is missing or the catch broken, its worth nothing. It is worth about the same as a Mario Bros multi-screen, or either DK game... so unboxed about £15-20 in collectors circles (i.e. retro shops) but you can pick one up for around £5-10 on ebay if luck is on your side.
By the way, remember the Mickey Mouse Panorama that didn't go on eBay for £690 (reserve not met, that was the high bid)? The seller bought it (or another!!) in March on eBay for $1425 !!!!!!!!!
The one I have has it's battery cover but no box. I'll try my luck with it on Ebay but first I have to see if it works. Yakumo
Never really heard of Squish but is that the only Game and Watch that is dual screen, like the upcoming DS?? If it is the only DS G&W then it will be worth something.
I have Mario's cement factory with battery cover and manual, too bad that's one of the common ones. Who knew all this stuff would be so valuble?
Madhatter, there were a few Game And Watch games with dual screens, in fact if you see one opened up you'll know where the DS' design comes from. I can remember two off of the top of my head - the Legend Of Zelda and some version of Mario Bros. or Super Mario Bros. or something. Heh, I wonder if the Nintendo wristwatches with the games built in are worth anything? May have to bust out my Super Mario World one.. :smt043
. i think i still have gorgo 13 some where although last time i've seen it was like ten years ago in my junk box... :smt015 cheers
There's 15 multi screens... nearly all of 'em common as hell. There were 2 Mario watches too, but they aren't part of the Game & Watch series.... in fact they weren't even made by Nintendo AFAIK. There's a sealed Mario 3 watch on ebay... good for mario collectors! If anyone's after a complete G&W collection, I could get you one for about $10,000. Excluding variants (well, maybe some)
Ah, memories! I actually have that game (Squish). Never really liked it though...I thought the usage of the Dual Screen for Squish was more of a gimmick than anything else...not very useful.
