Main question first - I heard how large HDTV models display Dreamcast VGA poorly (due to lack of scanlines, I believe I've heard)... similar to how some 2D games apparently look poor on old LCD screens before HD days. Is the Hanzo VGA scanline generator box capable of displaying Dreamcast games at full quality on a very large HDTV size, such as 50-60 inches? I mostly have 2D games so I'm not sure if I need to get a VGA input model.

I found out about VGA input being discontinued on most HDTVs except for low models like Seiki (that will break 1 day after warranty). I found a nice +50 inch TV with all sorts of fun ports and VGA (expensive though) - are people really stuck buying older HDTVs for Dreamcast VGA forever now since DVI is the minimum standard? What about A/V, too? I know some older ones have it, too. I've also read how most vga-to-hdmi/whatever converters can be if-y due to processor quality effecting output and confusion over settings, so I'm avoiding that. Or... will there always be expensive models that come with everything? Because I've also seen expensive new HDTVs with RF in them. Everyone (even store employees) are giving me mixed information about the availability of these formats with new TVs.

I have a normal VGA box for the DC atm, but yesterday ordered a Hanzo. My TV is a 42 inch plasma. I have never had any problems with the normal box, but I did notice that the old CRT i had before gave the image another look (a little more old-skool look). So I would either way recommend getting the hanzo, as you can just turn the scanlines off if you dont like it. You can also adjust the scanlines width I think. Seems to me that the Hanzo is the best vga-box out there at the moment.

No RF is uncommon. The tunerless sets look and act like TVs (rather than computer monitors), just natively incapable of hooking up an antenna to receive broadcasts.
    I once used such a Viore 37" a while.
