SS MIDI interface

I saw a MIDI interface (with both in- and out ports) for Sega Saturn on Yakumo's site.
It was used for a game called "Saturn Music School" (music sequencer) and manufactured by Waka. It is inserted into the communication connector on the back the Saturn console. I'm curious about if it'd be possible (with or without special software) to control the FM synth inside Saturn with that MIDI device (or any other device for that matter).

I'd say, hunt down a Saturn Sound Box, a copy of the SCSP docs and h4xx0r away ;-)
