    This was an online only beta that was distributed via postal service and you had to sign up on either Sony's or LucasArt's website to get it. (I'm not sure which one, if anyone has any info please post.)

    The password is "bf2beta!" without quotes.


    Making the game playable:

    Since this was a multiplayer only beta, you will have to enable the single player menus. Open the ISO file in any hex editor, and go to offset 0x1E61EA0. Change the the byte at that offset (0x6D) to 0x73. Finally, go to offset 0x1E61EBD and do the same.

    REMEMBER TO KEEP A BACKUP !!

    This will enable the Campaign/Instant Action sub menus. The only playable levels are:
    • The 9 space maps
    • Tantive IV
    • Utapau

    Nice stuff, thanks for sharing.
    Only Tantive VI, Utapau and all the Space maps are on the disc, they work fine from the single player menu.

    So they do work... I guess it was just the emulator I was using. I wish I had some footage
