I’m in a corporate environment and over the years I’ve had to participate in a few Myers-Briggs personality seminars. In a work environment such as mine .. you’re dealing with people from all different backgrounds and personalities. For those of you who have never heard of; or taken the assessment, its purpose is to give you a profile of your personality – giving you an understanding of your strengths and weaknesses and with that knowledge learn to better communicate and strengthen your business relationships. Once you take that assessment; it will generate a four letter code based on your personality type. There are a total of 16 based on this assessment. In a business team environment … it’s important to understand and appreciate the differences of others, but this true of our all our relationships even outside of work. The seminars that I have taken have been paid for by our company, but similar assessments are available online for free. As part of a “FUN” Team building exercise; we recently did a similar assessment based on Carl Jung’s and Briggs Myers’ personality test. Once we received our code we were provided with a link to see what Star Wars character our personality matches ... Well the assessment itself was spot on, as it generated the same four letter combination I received from past MB tests.
