Some retailer cock up my orders and now I have no reserve set of the CE version. Anyone knows where can I get one or if you have extras to let go? Ebay is overpriced right now. (Im not getting the Asian Version).

    Anyone preordered? :)

    What country are you in?

As for eBay, the CE seems to only be running about 35-50% over retail which isn't unsual at all for a Blizzard CE. Less than that and it's not worth it for the time/effort and eBay fees.

    in Singapore.

The official price for a normal ones here is as expensive as USA/Europe CE. No idea why. But really not worth it. And this retailer cocked up my order.. Gave me a crap 10bucks voucher as compensation.

All the CE are sold out at most retailers, there are some pre-orders up at eBay US @ USD ~150. Way too expensive yeah, I'm looking forward to it, but will have to settle with the regular edition.

Even @150 USD a US seller isn't going to be making much profit selling on eBay.

    Break it down:
Cost of CE = $100 US
US Sales Tax = $8-$10 US

Tax rates vary based on locality in the US, but you're looking at around $108 to $110 USD out the door from the retailer.

Depending on the final eBay price, that leaves around $40 at most to cover the following fees and time investment for the seller:

    eBay Listing Fee
    eBay Final Value Fee
    PayPal Fee
    Shipping Fee
Cost of box and shipping materials (plus sales tax on those).
Gas to go to store and post office.
Time to go pick up the game from the store, pack and ship.

Once all those are deducted from that $40 USD, the seller doesn't have much left.

That's why $150 USD isn't anywhere near a high price if you're buying from a secondhand seller on eBay.

That said, if you are in the US, a google search seems to indicate that Wal-Mart has copies available at the retail price of $100+tax.

@tzeman Why do you think it weird that the CE costs as much in Singapore as it does in the US? It's not like Singapore is a cheap city as it is. ;)

Good point. I thought the CE was a bit cheaper than $100 (like 80-ish).

And it does bring quite some good stuff iirc, so the price is justified :p

I think the normal edition cost inflated coz of shortage. Or speculators getting them in bulk and such. I think the local distro has no control over it. Plus most people would wanna play in the US Servers since the times of Diablo.
